Foster & Adopt: Night of Stories

Foster & Adopt: Night of Stories

Sometimes, the best way to meaningfully connect is through storytelling. Last week, guest speaker Will Plonk from Grace City Church joined us at our Pelham campus for a night of stories to help strengthen our foster, adoptive, and kinship care families. Will, joined by Bill White and Ryan Quinn, a member of our Harrison Bridge campus, shared encouraging stories and unpacked the theology of adoption. We also hosted a breakfast discussion with Will the next morning on the topic of transracial adoption. Both of these events were open to families, volunteers, and anyone interested in serving with this ministry.

Between the two events, we welcomed around 100 people from across our campuses into intentional conversation and connection. One of the biggest takeaways from the evening was how encouraged people felt as they left. A foster family coming out of a difficult placement noted that the evening helped prepare their hearts for their next placement. It was a sweet reminder about why these gatherings matter.

Beyond Night of Stories, we are committed to serving foster, adoptive, and kinship families throughout the year. It’s an honor to walk this path together in both encouraging and tangible ways.
