Living at Front Porch

Description

In the second episode of our Front Porch series, Whitney sits down with two residents, Nathan and Graham. Nathan talks about how Front Porch has provided space for him and his daughter to connect over creativity as they designed a fun activity for their neighbors’ kids. Graham tells several heartwarming stories of how Front Porch has supported him following his recovery from addiction and shown him what it means to receive the love of Christ.

KEY POINTS

  • As Front Porch residents pursue recovery and wellness, they are then able to use their God-given gifts to love their neighbors and contribute to a healthy community.
  • Personal wellness is a holistic endeavor that requires a variety of resources like re:gen, Families Count, Money Matters, GriefShare, and more to develop healthy habits over time.
  • Success for Nathan and Graham centers around genuine relationships with Front Porch staff, volunteers, neighbors, mentors, and friends who have loved them well because Jesus has loved them first.
