Celebrating Three Years of Front Porch Housing

Celebrating Three Years of Front Porch Housing

Culturally Engaged

Front Porch Housing is celebrating three years of serving our Greenville community! Front Porch Housing is a supportive housing program on a mission to help individuals and families move from crisis to connection. The scope of Front Porch Housing goes beyond meeting tangible needs and seeks to empower residents to thrive in the community. Born out of a critical need for one member of Grace Church, Front Porch Housing has grown from its foundation in 2022 to its current nonprofit ministry serving over 400 residents.

Through a comprehensive range of services, Front Porch Housing addresses the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs of residents. As human beings made in the image of God, we all need stable housing and a community to lean on, but they are not always available. It takes a community to work together to break cycles of instability and provide hope in Christ. Along with Grace Church, Front Porch Housing is supported by NewSpring Greenville, Downtown Presbyterian Church, Harvest Anglican Church, and Praise Cathedral.

Generating Local Support

Recently, Front Porch Housing hosted a car show to help generate support and to connect our Greenville community to their local mission. With the help of 13 different sponsors, the car show welcomed over 300 guests and featured raffle prizes, food trucks, face painting, and more than 80 cars on display!
