Mosaic Family Day Retreat
Last month, we celebrated our community of caregivers and individuals with disabilities at Grace Church through the Mosaic Family Day Retreat. This retreat was a fantastic event at our Pelham campus where our volunteers were able to serve over 100 caregivers and nearly 150 children, students, and adults for a fun-filled and inspiring day of learning and fellowship!
Individuals in Mosaic and their siblings enjoyed exciting activities while caregivers were encouraged with equipping talks and a time of rest. Families learned about perseverance, the importance of biblical community for individuals with disabilities, and how to create community outside the immediate family unit. The retreat also hosted a Q&A panel with Mosaic Inspire Discipleship, Mosaic Inspire Coffee House, and Mosaic Housing to talk about these ministries and cast vision for the future of Mosaic. And of course, there was plenty of emphasis on connection and fellowship with other caregivers!
We hope that the Mosaic Family Day Retreat was refreshing to all our families who attended and a blessing to our groups of volunteers who served them. It is important that we continue as a body of believers to come alongside our individuals with disabilities and provide pathways for accessibility and biblical community.
