Students Spotlight | Hard Questions

Biblically Oriented

One of the central facets of our student ministry is teaching our teens to study and apply God’s Word. Recently, our Forge high school students worked through a new series called Hard Questions. This series helped our students to engage difficult questions regarding God, the Bible, and our faith. As they brought questions and doubts into the light of God’s Word, they were able to see how people of faith have always wrestled with these topics, and also how God has answered them in Scripture.

Through weekly reading, teaching, and discussion, Hard Questions explores difficult topics such as making decisions, the brokenness of the world, doubt and tension, salvation and free will, and more. It is important for us to encourage our students to not shy away from asking these kinds of hard questions, to explore what the Bible says with curiosity and expectation, and to be honest when experiencing doubt or tension in these conversations.

A recent episode of the Grace Members Podcast also explored this series in greater depth with two of the teachers, Davis Craig and Bobby Raulerson. They recapped the main ideas and explained why a series like this is critical to a healthy student ministry. To listen to the podcast, click the button below.

We are grateful to all of our teams who make it possible to share God’s Word with our teens in approachable and practical ways. Please join us in praying that these kinds of studies will help our students grow in their understanding of God’s great love and his longing for a closer relationship with them.
