Summer Missions Recap 2025 | Camp Griggs
We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nearly 150 students and leaders who served this summer at Camp Griggs! Held in the heart of the Poe Mill community, the camp is hosted by Griggs Church and is facilitated by Grace Church Students. This partnership provides a supportive, Christ-centered environment where our students lead campers ages 5–12 in worship, Bible time, games, team-building activities, field trips, and more.

These trips impact our students in powerful ways as they step outside of their comfort zones. One staff member reflects:
Trips are challenging in a lot of ways for our students: being away from home, away from all their normals, no phone. It’s a lot less control and a lot more “what if?” There’s uncomfortable ambiguity. By the end of the week, they have a deeper trust in God’s sovereignty by relying on him in ways that they haven’t before. They’re holding everything loosely and making new friends in the process.

It’s also a great opportunity to let kids know there are real needs right here in our community. People and places that we drive past frequently—ways in which to serve the Lord by living missionally right here in Greenville.
We are so grateful for the work that Griggs Church is doing in Poe Mill and for our ability to partner with them to allow the Holy Spirit to move in all of us. Please join us in praying that God would continue to work in the hearts of our students and those they’ve ministered to this summer. If you’d like to learn more about Camp Griggs, click below.
