Local Outreach Spotlight | Hurricane Relief Continues
Over the past several months, volunteers from our campuses have continued to work in various ways to support folks in our communities and those in Western North Carolina affected by Hurricane Helene. Even though much time has passed since the storm, many are still picking up the pieces and grieving immense loss. We are grateful for an opportunity to continue supporting recovery and to show God’s love in tangible ways.
Check out the video below to hear an update on relief efforts:
In recent months, volunteers from our Travelers Rest, Downtown, Greer, and Harrison Bridge campuses have helped provide aid in a variety of ways. Some have worked on-site assisting with much needed relief in the Bat Cave community, while others pooled together significant financial gifts to help rebuild a homeowner’s driveway and to provide a side-by-side vehicle for the community. Groups of volunteers have also spent time working in the Canton community—taking many trips in the past several months and partnering with Crestview Baptist Church to complete relief projects in the area. Next week, a nine-person team will take a multi-day trip to Swannoa to aid Valley Hope Church in their continued efforts.
From manual labor to donations and financial support, God is moving through his people to continue to show up for our neighbors. Please join us in prayer that these communities would keep receiving aid and know the love of Christ through these efforts.
