Mission Trip Highlight | France 2025
As a family of local congregations, we have opportunities to explore outreach partnerships that are close to the hearts of the folks connected to each unique campus. At Harrison Bridge, there is a growing partnership with missionaries located in Grenoble, France, who are working to strengthen the local church and disciple individuals in their community. Some of our HB members recently traveled to France to share teaching resources, hold a men's conference, help with various construction projects, and more.
Jonathan Pitts was invited on that mission trip, but his business had just closed a week before being asked—paralyzing him with fear. As he didn’t have another job lined up, and his single-income family depended on him, he really struggled with the decision.
“I wanted to wait until I landed something else first. I felt God calling me to let go and completely trust in him. I had built up years of self-reliance, rising to challenges and finding success in my own work. God had me in a place of uncertainty, where I was at the end of myself and beginning to doubt everything—whether my family was going to make it, and whether I had anything to offer at all.”
Over the course of several months, God used Jonathan’s community to speak truth into his fears, and Scripture to guide Jonathan into a place of trust.

“He showed me that, if I believe he is who he says he is, and that he keeps his promises, then the only thing left for me to do is to obey.”
Jonathan’s engagement with his local church community allowed him to be called into a place of deeper humility and trust, breaking down self-reliance and building up confidence in the One who truly provides all things. Because of this heart-change, he was able to spend a week in France serving, loving, and building relationships—allowing him to tangibly experience the same God working in a totally different culture.
“I’ll never forget connecting with a man from Ghana, thinking our lives couldn’t be more different. I am just a good ole boy from Easley, sitting in France, talking with someone from Ghana—and we are brothers in Christ, being used at the same time. God is so big. He’s not worried about what I’m worried about. He’s not afraid of what I’m afraid of.”
We are so grateful for Jonathan’s willingness to share his story of abiding in God’s truth, trusting in his provision, and leaning on biblical community. Please join us in praying for the continued work in Grenoble, France, and for the continued spiritual growth of our congregation.
