Partnership with Hunger Corp in Puerto Rico | Summer 2025
This summer, two teams of volunteers each spent a week in Puerto Rico with Hunger Corp to help ongoing restoration efforts in a community still reeling from a series of natural disasters. Hunger Corp is a local nonprofit organization that works to help rebuild Puerto Rico through a gospel-centered approach—showing the love of Christ as homes are rebuilt, businesses are restored, and communities are strengthened.
Although our missions are short-term, Hunger Corp has a long-term commitment to bring sustainability and the Good News to residents who are most vulnerable. By serving in Puerto Rico, our folks are helping to multiply a local effort in a significant way.

Steven Feliciano, Co-founder and Executive Director of Hunger Corp, recently visited Greenville and sat down with us to talk about this work on our Grace Members Podcast:
It is exciting for our homeowners to see hundreds of people coming from the US because they love God. It’s a witness. A testament to this Jesus who is worth thinking about. As different churches come each week, we’ve had 5,000 volunteers in the past seven years, giving us relational capital and helping to make a lasting impact.
This summer’s construction project was focused on building a new home for Magaly Rosario’s father, Francisco.

Serving others has a way of discipling our own hearts. One of our 19 team members reflects:
During my trip to Puerto Rico, God taught me that I need his strength when I’m weak and can only succeed through his power, not my own. He also taught me that anyone and everyone can be used for his plan, no matter how broken; we can all use our skills to be the hands and feet of Christ.
