God tests Abraham’s faith by asking him to sacrifice his only son. In what must have been one of the darkest moments of Abraham’s life, he shows extraordinary faith in God’s ability to bring life out of death.

Abraham’s faith in God regarding Isaac flowed out of a bigger moment. He had seen God keep his promise in extraordinary ways.
Our faith is supposed to be in God, not in what he provides.
