Over 1,500 Participate in Just Serve Days

Culturally Engaged

Over the past six weeks, all our campuses have participated in Just Serve Days! This is an intentional time when we express Christ’s love to the community in tangible ways. Across all campuses, over 1,500 volunteers served at over 50 sites throughout the Upstate. Participants worked on a variety of projects with our local partners, for members within our church body, at Front Porch Housing, and for many other organizations in our communities. Thank you, Grace Church, for showing up and serving in this way!

Our friends at Miracle Hill’s Renewal House had this to say about the landscape work by one of our crews:

The grounds look AMAZING! I cannot imagine what Renewal would look like without you . . . We really are the showpiece for Miracle Hill. And, more importantly, our beautiful grounds make for such a therapeutic and beautiful canvas for God to restore our residents. I cannot thank you enough for that!

We also wanted to share a story from our Anderson campus lead:

We had one site canceled due to the rain that had occurred the morning of our date. We did our best to send volunteers to them the next weekend, and when it was looking like we wouldn't have enough, we contacted the wrestling and soccer coaches at Westside High School to see if they could send any of their athletes. A handful of them showed up since they could use the volunteer hours for National Honor Society requirements. It was a great opportunity for our people to serve alongside students from a local high school, and those high schoolers got to witness how we as believers demonstrate love.

These stories represent a few of the many ways we saw God at work through Just Serve Days. Thank you again to all who participated and prayed over this labor of love. To get a glimpse of some of the ways we got to serve our communities, check out the photos below!
