A Resurrected Hope
Pelham Campus Pastor
Key Points
The gospel doesn't just redeem our past—it defines our future. (3-4)
If the resurrection isn’t true, our faith is useless, and we remain guilty of our sins. (14-17)
Jesus rising from the dead with a glorified body—that will apply to us as well. (20)
Jesus is either the risen King who requires everything, or he is nothing. There is no in between. (21-26)
The body we will have in eternity will be stronger and more glorious than the one we have now. (42-43)
Bodily health is a good thing, but focusing on it too much isn’t. Longevity is a good help but a bad hope.
Main Passage Excerpt:
Let me now remind you, dear brothers and sisters, of the Good News I preached to you before. You welcomed it then, and you still stand firm in it. It is this Good News that saves you if you continue to believe the message I told you, unless, of course, you believed something that was never true in the first place.
