Key Points
Wisdom is a special skill from God that enables us to make good decisions that result in life and blessing.
Words are powerful because words create. (Genesis 1)
Too many words reveal foolishness. (Ecclesiastes 5:1-7, Proverbs 10:19)
Too few words can reveal fear, selfishness, or hidden sin. (Proverbs 31:8-9, 27:5-6, Psalm 32:3-5)
We must use our words wisely. God can do amazing things when we use our words to repair. (Proverbs 18:13, 15:1, 12:18)

As you enter the house of God, keep your ears open and your mouth shut. It is evil to make mindless offerings to God. Don’t make rash promises, and don’t be hasty in bringing matters before God. After all, God is in heaven, and you are here on earth. So let your words be few.
