Passage Excerpt:

So Jacob settled again in the land of Canaan, where his father had lived as a foreigner. This is the account of Jacob and his family. When Joseph was seventeen years old, he often tended his father’s flocks. He worked for his half brothers, the sons of his father’s wives Bilhah and Zilpah. But Joseph reported to his father some of the bad things his brothers were doing.

About the Series

Fabric with Tassels

God said a nation would come from Abraham's line, but by the time we reach Joseph, his promise looks like it's unraveling: a favorite son is sold by his own brothers, a family is torn apart by jealousy, and a famine threatens to wipe out everyone involved. But God continues to prove that even the worst circumstances bow to his plans. Through Joseph's life, we see God work through betrayal, hardship, and years of waiting to provide for his people and fulfill his promises.
