Psalm 115

Psalm 115

Scripture

1Ā Not to us, OĀ Lord, not to us,Ā
but to your name goes all the gloryĀ Ā Ā Ā
for your unfailing love and faithfulness.
2Ā Why let the nations say,Ā Ā Ā Ā
ā€œWhere is their God?ā€
3Ā Our God is in the heavens,Ā Ā Ā Ā
and he does as he wishes.
4Ā Their idols are merely things of silver and gold,Ā Ā Ā Ā
shaped by human hands.
5Ā They have mouths but cannot speak,Ā Ā Ā Ā
and eyes but cannot see.
6Ā They have ears but cannot hear,Ā Ā Ā Ā
and noses but cannot smell.
7Ā They have hands but cannot feel,Ā Ā Ā Ā
and feet but cannot walk,Ā Ā Ā Ā
and throats but cannot make a sound.
8Ā And those who make idols are just like them,Ā Ā Ā Ā
as are all who trust in them.

9Ā O Israel, trust theĀ Lord!Ā Ā Ā Ā
He is your helper and your shield.
10Ā O priests, descendants of Aaron, trust theĀ Lord!Ā Ā Ā Ā
He is your helper and your shield.
11Ā All you who fear theĀ Lord, trust theĀ Lord!Ā Ā Ā Ā
He is your helper and your shield.

12Ā TheĀ LordĀ remembers us and will bless us.Ā Ā Ā Ā
He will bless the people of IsraelĀ Ā Ā Ā
and bless the priests, the descendants of
Aaron.
13Ā He will bless those who fear theĀ Lord,Ā Ā Ā Ā
both great and lowly.

14Ā May theĀ LordĀ richly blessĀ Ā Ā Ā
both you and your children.
15Ā May you be blessed by theĀ Lord,Ā Ā Ā Ā
who made heaven and earth.
16Ā The heavens belong to theĀ Lord,Ā Ā Ā Ā
but he has given the earth to all humanity.
17Ā The dead cannot sing praises to theĀ Lord,Ā Ā Ā Ā
for they have gone into the silence of the
grave.
18Ā But we can praise theĀ LordĀ Ā Ā Ā
both now and forever!

Praise theĀ Lord!
